About this book

Germany publishes its statutes free to reuse, and its federal ministry publishes worked examples of its own housing-benefit formula. This book follows one fictional family in Weimar, the Vogts, whose numbers are those of the ministry's example, through an executable model of the Wohngeld rules: which text applies on which day, how €485 is computed, where the Wohngeldbehörde must decide, and what the model returns when the facts or the model's values run out. It is written for lawyers and staff of housing-benefit authorities, programme analysts and developers. An independent Arxo model built from the published texts of the WoGG, the WoGV and the EStG; not an implementation by or for the BMWSB or any Wohngeldbehörde. The book is first of all a demonstration of modelling legislation with Arxo; it does not claim legal accuracy or completeness and is not legal advice.
